You’ve got one major decision (Step 1) to make and a couple (Step 2, 3) small ones. Let’s start with the major decision and keep this simple…
If you want to choose what will be in your order then go ahead and add the Essential Meat, Chicken, Seafood, and Baker's boxes.
If you’re tired of making decisions and want to leave it up to the experts, we’ve got you covered with the Omakase box.
Good news, you got through the hard part! With your base boxes determined, next you’ll decide how frequently you want deliveries and finally what add-ons you’ll need. You can browse add-ons separately from base boxes but remember you need to purchase a box to choose add-ons (get it? you can only ADD it on).
Sometimes its nice to sit, without worry, and have someone else take care of you which is why we love going to an Omakase sushi dinner — the chef asks “Anything off limits?” and then sit back and allow him/her to feed us. That’s our goal with the Omakase box and to recreate that personalized experience, we need you to complete your profile as soon as you place your order. Take your time when you fill it out and be specific! If there’s anything you know you don't want be sure to let us know (I’ll pass on the beef tongue) — same goes for things you’re super psyched about (bring on the beef tongue!?!). Let us know your favorite cooking techniques, dietary restrictions, how many people you’re cooking for, etc. Trust us, we’re reading, taking notes and obsessive about getting this right for you!
There are three Omakase boxes, little ($100), medium ($175) and big ($250) but instead of thinking about them in quantity, we want you to think of them in market price. A big box can serve a family with a variety of cuts or two people with super high end cuts. Like we’ve said (I think we mentioned it a couple times, right!?! ), tell us everything we need to know about your in your profile and as we get to know you, we will fine tune your selection to fit your perfect order over time.
The Omakase box is not only a gateway to finding creativity in your kitchen, it is a safety net for us in continuing our mission of utilizing the entire animal. Our style of butchering is about helping folks explore the whole animal, get some exciting new cuts and reliable favorites every week from butchers they trust. It’s about getting great meat from local, responsible, sustainable farmers straight to your home without going to a butcher shop and maybe feeling intimidated or unsure. We’re here to teach, listen, and guide you. We’ve got your back.
We will be delivering to NYC (all 5 boroughs), Westchester, Northern New Jersey, and Long Island. If you're somewhere else and want to order -- call ya mama or call ya friends -- get together a group of 5 and we'll make it work. No one is left out!
While the food manufacturing industry has always operated with the highest of sanitation practices, theres nothing like a pandemic to up the anti. Thats why all meat fabrication down to each vacuum sealed package is done wearing gloves and a mask. Each order will be gathered, packed, and delivered also using the same precautions.
When we set out to design our packaging, we flirted with the idea of fancy branded tote bags, before we realized how important it is to use materials that can be sanitized and reused. In efforts to work towards a zero-waste operation, we selected heavy duty “round trip” plastic boxes which have hinged and interlocking lids, coupled with a few ice packs. Your one time subscription fee of $25 goes towards 2 boxes per subscriber. We will collect the previous week’s box when we deliver your order, and so on. Each box that is returned will be carefully sanitized before being reused.
